It is also known as the DEAD WEIGHT LOSS. Dead weight loss refers to the harm and the distortions caused to the economy as a result of imposition of tax. Economic efficiency and production are the ones that are typically most affected. Dead weight loss prevents attainment of equilibrium for a product or service.
