It is a friday night, and you are very busy writing down guestâs names on the waitlist. in the middle of adding another group to a wait list, another guest interrupts to ask, âexcuse me, what is the wait time?â it will take you a couple of minutes to get this information since you are not the person that tracks the wait time. what do you do?

In that situation I would kindly ask the customer to wait while I asked another member of staff for the correct information on waiting times. I would return to the customer and upon giving them the information they asked, continue filling out the group names on the wait list.
