Red, blue and green are the sets of color receptor within the retina are sensitive to wavelengths of visible light.
Retina is a thin layer of tissue that lines the back of the eye on the inside. It is located near the optic nerve.
Overall the wavelength range of visible light is 380-750nm. For Red, Blue and Green its range is 620-750nm, 450-495nm and 495-570nm respectively.
