n+n+2=44 combine like terms on left side
2n+2=44 subtract 2 from both sides
2n=42 divide both sides by 2
n=21
So n and n+2 are 21 and 23.

2 consecutive odd integers...x and x + 2
x + x + 2 = 44
2x + 2 = 44
2x = 44 - 2
2x = 42
x = 42/2
x = 21
x + 2 = 21 + 2 = 23
ur numbers are 21 and 23
