prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase are the 4 steps in mitosis. The functions of mitosis, can be skin repairing, and the rebuilding, or building of everything in the human body.

1. genetic consistency. that is ecause all cells formed by mitosis are genetically identical thus they contain the same dna and in each tissue the new cells perform the function that they are responsible for.
