Diffusion across a biological membrane is called

It depends on what kind of substances that diffuses into the membrane . If it's sth polar e.g. Na+, K+ , then it required a channel protein and it's called facillitated diffusion . If it is sth e.g a vesticle that diffused into the membrane , then it is simple diffusion .
