x = Leonard, y = Liam
x = y + 7
3x + 2y = 96

now we sub
3(y + 7) + 2y = 96
3y + 21 + 2y = 96
5y = 96 - 21
5y = 75
y = 15

x = y + 7
x = 15 + 7
x = 22

Liam has 15 and Leonard has 22.
