What is the pretrial stage that occurs when the judge finds no reason to dismiss a case and the case then moves forward toward trial?

The answer to this question is complaint.

Pretrial hearing is where the complainant and the accused is having a meeting before the trial begins. Pretrial is also a proceeding held by the judge to let both parties talked first to discuss certain issues before proceeding to trial.
