jay low received scores of 87 and 98 on his first two exams of the grading period. At least what score must Jay earn on the next exm for the test average to be at least a 93 for the grading period?

We can experiment with numbers to find the average of 93% for the grading period. We add 87 + 98 + 94 = 279 (the third number is an experimental number I plugged in). We then divide by 3 (the amount of numbers we used to get 279, which is 3. So 279 / 3 = 93.

I forgot the correct method of how to solve this question, however, the answer is correct.

Jay needs to earn at least a 94 to receive a 93 average.
