Factor completely 20x3y + 30x2y2.

Hey!

It looks like you meant:
20x^3y+30x^2y^2
Then, we are going to change the expression, specially the exponents. The reason behind this is because we don't want anything to be cubed. Here's an example:
\:a^(b+c)=a^ba^c

=20x^2xy+30x^2yy
Factor out the common term, which is
10x^2y

=10x^2y\left(2x+3y\right)
