A cylinder has its height doubled and its radius cut to one third. What is the ratio of the volumes of the modified cylinder to the original cylinder?

V_(1) = h_(1)\pi r^(2)


V_(2)=2h_(1) \pi ( (1)/(3) r_(1))^(2)=(2)/(9) \pi h_(1)( r_(1))^(2)

Taking the ratio of V2/V1 = 2/9
