We have:
( x + 2 ) / 3 - ( x + 1 ) / 2 x =
2 x * ( x + 2 ) / 6 x - 3 ( x + 1 ) / 6 x = ( 6 x is the least common denominator )
= 2 x² + 4 x / 6 x - ( 3 x + 3 ) / 6 x =
= ( 2 x² + 4 x - 3 x - 3 ) / 6 x =
= ( 2 x² + x - 3 ) / 6 x
Answer:
The numerator is : A ) 2 x² + x - 3 .
