I believe it's Maggie because Dee comes across as flashy and superficial while Maggie is quieter but also more sincere.

In "Everyday Use," the narrator believes that Maggie, the younger daughter, would appreciate the quilts more.

Eventhough Dee says that priceless quilts will be destroyed if her mother does not give them to her, her mother has already resolved to give them to Maggie.

The mother does not like the change Dee has made, and feels like quiet and careful Maggie would be more fit to appreciate the quilts.
