The angle of elevation from the bottom of a scenic gondola ride to the top of a mountian is 31 degrees. If the verticale distance from the bottom to the top of the mountain is 902 feet and the gondola moves at a speed of 155 feet per min, how long does the ride last? round to the nearest minute.

you need to calculate the length of the hypotenuse to know how far the gondola ride travels first

so divide the height by the sin of the angle 902/sin(31) = 1751.33 feet

now divide that by the speed

1751.33/155 = 11.298, so approximately 11 minutes
