The largest Nazi ghetto—the Wasaw ghetto—was located in Poland, and held around 400,000 prisoners within an area of 1.3 square miles.

The Warsaw Ghetto was the largest of all the Jewish ghettos in German-occupied Europe during World War II. It was established by the German authorities in the Muranów neighborhood of the Polish capital between October and November of the year 1940.
