Actually this is False. Some north colonies had slaves in them.

The necessity of American colonies for labor was the principal reason of slavery in the colonies. The slaves came from Africa and the Caribbean islands.

The Thirteen British colonies were Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
