Bone density testing is usually done to assist with identifying the risk of low bone mass and osteoporosis. Bone density testing is the only procedure that can be used to identify osteoporosis condition before a bone is broken. This will enables the patient to be treated for osteoporosis. The patient should be educated about the importance of preventing fall and injury.
