Volume of a Sphere =
(4)/(3)πr³

(4)/(3)πr³ = 36π in³
by comparing the left and right hand side

(4)/(3) r³ = 36

⇒ r = ∛(36 ÷
(4)/(3))

r = 3

Now,
the surface area of a sphere = 4 πr²
⇒ surface area of a sphere = 4 × (3)² × π
= 36π in²
