The Hypothalamus is in direct control of both the anterior and posterior lobes of the pituitary gland, thereby moderating most endocrine hormone secretion and function.
Also the Hypothalamus controls the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) functions such as Sympathetic and Parasympathetic nerves.
