a) Conduction – The heat in conduction is transferred from molecule to molecule and thus contact between two things is necessary for heat transfer. For example – the surface of earth absorbs heat and eventually transfers it to the air near to it. Thus the air which is close to earth’s surface is warmer than air above it.

b) Convention – In this the heat moves from place to place such as movement of warm air

c) Radiation – Greenhouse gas affect is caused by back radiation of heat from earth’s surface .
