Circumference = 2(pi)(radius)

Circle 1: 48=2(pi)(radius)
24/pi = radius

Circle 2: 12 = 2(pi)(radius)
6/pi = radius

Area = (pi)(radius)^2

Circle 1: A = (pi) (24/pi)^2
= 576 / pi

Circle 2: A = (pi) (12/pi)^2
= 144 / pi

576/144 = 4 times greater
