How did bacon rebellion reflect tensions in colonial society?

The Salem Witch Trials represented a common fear among many of the colonists that was rooted in both religion and superstition. These trials showed the extent to which the rule of law really had not been developed in a meaningful way. Bacon's Rebellion was largely of an economic nature, yet it held some basic tenants of fear.
