The person can be punished by a fine of up to $4,000 and/ or confinement in jail for up to ONE YEAR. This is part of the sanctions for non-driving alcohol related offence. A minor is any one who is below twenty one yeas of age. Such individuals are not expected to purchase or drink alcohols.
