First convert 5/9 into 20/36, 1/6 into 6/36, -3/4 into -27/36
Now the math
20/36x + 6/36 = -27/36
- 6/36. - 6/36
20/36x = -33/36
/(20/36) /(20/36)
x = -33/20 or -1.65
