The answer to this question is to decline in functioning acetylcholine receptors; treatment with corticosteroids and intravenous immunoglobulins. Myasthenia Gravis is a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disease which shows muscle weakness. The muscles that are affected by this disease are eye and eyelid movements, facial expressions, and muscle for swallowing. Myasthenia Gravis can be diagnosed by edrophonium test.
