More carbon would be released into the air with the burning of more fossil fuels and the environment would not be able to process the extra carbon.

Answer: Carbon cycle will be disturbed if there will be more extraction of fossil fuels. It takes thousand of years to form fossil fuels and there is a balance maintained in the nature which will be disturbed.

Step-by-step explanation: If the amount of degradation of the fossil fuel will be more than the amount of synthesis then sooner or later there will be a deficiency of resources.

To maintain an ecological balance the amount of extraction of fossil fuels should be limited.
