If we ignore the effects of migration when determining population growth rates, we would calculate the population's rate of natural increase OR BIRTH RATE, which equals DEATH RATE..
Migration effect the population growth rate because it calculated a number of outsiders that move into that region and the amount of local resident that moved outside the region.
