The rainforests are extremely important in the medical world, and it is crucial to keep them for the future as very often the rainforests have the cure for the diseases with which the human kind is struggling. One of those diseases is the cancer, and while scientists still haven't been able to make a cure for it, there's some indicators that there's plants in the rainforests that can destroy the cancer cells without having side effects, so keeping the rainforests in good shape is very beneficial, and will be even more beneficial as more and more discoveries are made.

It is important because there is all types of animals you can test medications against the struggle of cancer. Meaning if we destroy the rainforest we no longer have a steady supply of animals to test on.
