Theodore Roosevelt was Vice President under McKinley (option 1), rode with the Rough Riders (option 2) and received the Nobel Peace Prize (option 4).

When the Spanish-American war was declared in 1898, he organized the 1st Volunteer Cavalry or Rough Riders, composed of cowboys, miners, law-enforcement officials, and college athletes, among others, who were sent to fight in Cuba.

Three years later, Rooselvelt became the 26th American President in September 1901, after the assassination of William McKinley. Before that, he had served as Vice President under McKinley's term (1897-1901) for six months. His position as Vice President was short.

In 1906, Roosevelt won the Nobel Peace Prize for being a key element in bringing about the Treaty of Portsmouth signed on September, 1905, which ended the Russo-Japanese War (1904–1905).
