The nurse should tell the patient to avoid most over the counter drugs. As the patient has atrial fibrillation. This condition may lead to the occurrence of the clot, irregular heartbeat, stroke etc. Any over the counter drug may interact with the cardiac glycoside and may lead to some adverse effects.
