Given that a 57-year-old male patient who has been prescribed doxorubin for small-cell lung cancer is advised by the nurse to avoid taking aspirin or drugs that contain aspirin because it may lead to bleeding. Aspirin even in low dose can cause intestinal Bleeding. This increase in risk of gut bleed may cause even further potential danger to the cancer patient.
