I'm assuming your talking about the gallery of colors in the Word Operating System, if so (or not), either way... the answer is true.
Microsoft Word holds many options within its vast domain, one of them being theme and standard colors. Like Microsoft Paint, when it starts up, you have your generic (standard) colors, but there are options to "create" more colors, also known as theme colors. Theme Colors, can be modified, adjusted, and edited. They are used just like Standard Colors, except theme colors have more diversity.
