when you divide 18 into 9 you get two. so, since he'll be working for 5 hours, 5 times 2 is 10. so he'll be painting for 10 hours.

First, you need how many miles in one hour. That means 18/9, which is two. So when Bob works five hours on Saturday, he would be able to paint 10 miles of lines.
