What was the difference between African and European attitudes toward slaves?

Africans hated the idea of slaves because they were being taken against their will and they lost their children to slavery.
The Europeans saw slavery as a way to make money without having to pay their workers. So they used slavery for financial gain without a thought about what they were doing to African families.

A. Unlike Africans, Europeans wanted the adult males for hard labor.
