If white wool (W) is dominant over black wool (w), can two sheep with white wool produce an offspring with black wool? Explain your answer. please help :(

Yes, the offspring of two white sheep can have black wool. If both parents are heterozygous (Ww) they each carry the recessive allele for black wool. If both parents pass the recessive allele to the offspring, the offspring will have black wool.

The answer is yes.
When an organism possesses the dominant phenotype, it may have two possible gene combinations (for a two-allele gene):
It may be homozygous dominant (WW)
It may be heterozygous dominant (Ww), also called a carrier

The way two black sheep can have an offspring with white wool is if both of these sheep are heterozygous dominant. Both parents may then donate the recessive allele and upon combination, the offspring will receive the phenotype of white wool with the genotype ww.
