Your job pays $8 an hour. Write a variable expression for your pay in dollars for working h hours

Lets say p is for pay. An expression for you would be p=8h because you would get 8 dollars per hour that you work. Then you would replace h with however many hours you worked. Ex: p=8h. You worked 12 hours, so 8 x 12 would equal 96, so you would get 96 dollars as your total pay, or p.
