The diagonal of an object is the line that join the two vertices which are not on the same edge of the polyhedron or polygon. By joining these points in the rectangular garden above we would divide the garden into two right triangles. We can determine the length of the diagonal by Pythagorean theorem:

Diagonal = √(65^2 + 20^2)
Diagonal = 5√185 m = 68.01 m
