Calculate the molarity of the solution. 29 g of NaCl in 0.25 liters of water (The molecular weight of NaCl is 58.44 g/mole.)

There are a number of ways to express concentration of a solution. This includes molarity. Molarity is expressed as the number of moles of solute per volume of the solution. We calculate as follows:

Molarity = 29 g NaCl ( 1 mol / 58.44 g ) / 0.25 L solution
Molarity = 1.98 M
