Though this is a joke, it's based on the scientific experiment Martin was about to conduct before he passed away- the hypotheses is that if you dump enough iron fillings into the ocean, it will spur the growth of the Phytoplankton (of which would take in the CO2) and could possibly lead to a global cooling.
