Quantum numbers are a set of parameters that give reasonable solutions to the Schrodinger equation within quantum mechanics. The principle quantum number (n) can take values 0,1,2,3... The angular quantum number (l) takes values of 0,1,2,3,...n-1. The magnetic quantum number (ml) takes values -l to l in integer steps. Finally the spin quantum number (ms) for an electron takes values of +1/2 or -1/2. Therefore, the correct set of quantum numbers is (2,1,1,+1/2).
