In chapter seven of "Dragonwings" we can clearly see the different opinions that Moon Shadow and Miss Whitlaw have on dragons.
Miss Whitlaw shows Moon Shadow a dragon stained glass window and explains that she believes the creatures to be be dangerous and malignant.
On the other hand, Moon Shadow points out that dragons can also be great creatures. The are believed to bring rain for crops. They are also though to be the kings among all reptiles, and the emperors of all animals .
