Answer: salt

Step-by-step explanation: Neutralization is a reaction in which acid and base reacts together to produce salt and water.

Acids are those substances which dissociate to give
H^+ ions in water.

HCl\rightarrow H^++Cl^-

Bases are those substances which dissociate to give
OH^- ions in water.

NaOH\rightarrow Na^++OH^-

Thus when the two combine,
H^+ from acid and
OH^- from base combine to form water and the remaining ions combine to form
NaCl as salt.

HCl+NaOH\rightarrow NaCl+H_2O
