Jeremy goes to White Water Amusement Park. While there he decides to go down the park’s huge water slide called Lightning. If the slide is 48 feet high and the base of the slide is 36 feet from the pool, then what is the length of the slide?

80^2 + 60^2 = c^2
6400 + 3600 = c^2
10000 = c^2
100 = c
C, 100 feet

Answer: The length of the slide is 60 feet.

Explanation:

Since we have given that

Height of slide = 48 feet

Base length of the slide from the pool = 36 feet

We need to find the length of slide.

Since it forms a right angled triangle.

So, we will apply "Pythagorus theorem":

H^2=B^2+P^2\\\\H^2=48^2+36^2\\\\H^2=2304+1296\\\\H^2=3600\\\\H=√(3600)\\\\H=60\ feet

Hence, the length of the slide is 60 feet.
