The answer to the question above is this: A working-term memory that increases from 1 slot at birth to about 10 slots by age five years. This is the one that is not on their list of reasons. Flavell and Wellman are actually researches who study metacognition and child psychology. According to them, as the child grows older, so as the ability of memory and learning also improve.
