A contractor is building the base of a circular fountain. On the blueprint, the base of the fountain has a diameter of 18 centimeters. The blueprint has a scale of three centimeters to four feet. The actual area is 454.1 ft.

You can use a ratio to find the actual diameter:
18cm/3cm = x/4ft.
x = 24 ft.

Then find the area using A=pi*r^2
A=pi*144
A=452.4 ft.
