Often times, the median and the mean are either very similar or even the same number. The mean is the average while the median is the middle. These are often very close on a number line to each other, if not totally the same answer.

Answer with explanation:

Median weight of check bag=27.5 pounds

Out of "n" observation, if we have to find median , it will be middle most data.

For a data set having "n" variate, the mean will be sum of all the observation divided by total number of variate.

So, there are three possibilities

1. If Data set is Symmetrical, Mean =Median.

2. If Data set is skewed right,

⇒ Mean > Median

And for a skewed left Data set

⇒Mean < Median
