4 gal. because there are 128 oz. in a gal. 35 times 12 = 420. 4gals is 512 oz.

He will need to buy 4 of one gallon bottles

How?-
35 x 12 = 420 fluid ounces needed

1 Quart = 32 fluid ounces, so

420/32=13.125 quarts

1 Gallon = 4 quarts, so

13.125/4= 3.28125, so he will need 4 bottles to fill all the cups because how are you going to buy 3.28125 bottles so you would round that to 4
