NO + 1/2O2 = NO2

We use the chemical reaction and the amount of the reactant to calculate for the theoretical yield. And with the actual yield, we can calculate for the percent yield as follows:

1500 kg NO ( 1 kmol / 38.99 kg ) ( 1 kmol NO2 / 1 kmol NO ) ( 54.99 kg / 1 mol ) = 2119.54 kg NO2
