Here is the answer.
The absorbent pad should be placed in a DRIP PAN, when assembling the Recycle Kit. The rationale behind this is that, the absorbent pad would ensure that the any liquid spills from the pad would just be contained and absorbed. This is also to avoid any additional mess. Hope this helps.
