In Francisco Goya's print The Third of May, 1808, the Spanish citizens are arranged in an irregular rhythm, whereas the French soldiers have regular rhythm.
You can see in the painting that the soldiers all look and stand the same way, pointing their guns at the Spanish citizens. On the other hand, the Spanish are portrayed having different kinds of emotions and gestures, unlike the French who are out to get them.
